MOVING TARGET ENGAGEMENT

Moving Robotic Targets allow training designers to upgrade existing training plans, or to develop more realistic training that would otherwise be possible. Falcon4 is able to support your training plans. Or customers approved through US export regulations can train using IPC Moving Target Courseware. Training with moving robotic targets can be broken into individual skill development and unit level tactical training. See below for more information.

Individual Skill Development

IPC has developed and now makes available at Falcon4 the Moving Target Engagement Course for individual skills.

This course is the result of multi-service collaboration, with lead author served by retired CWO5 USMC.

Additional improvements and revisions were then made by courseware developer Jon Sysel and retired US Army SF Dennis Todt.

This course structures the use of moving robotic targets, to diagnose and develop skills for the individual.

This course provides immediate feedback:

From which position are you most effective at engaging moving targets?

Which engagement method is your most lethal option?

. Data: Measure existing skills (or deficiencies) engaging moving targets.

. Diagnose which engagement method yields the best result for each shooter.

. Practice engagement skills from a variety of shooting positions and improve upon those skills.

. Compare personnel’s performance against group averages and determine trends among the shooters.

Train the Cadre

IPC’s established Train the Cadre course has been adapted to implement moving robotic targets into training operations. These courses transfer the skills necessary for customer training cadres to responsibly and safely get the most value from these remarkable training assets.

‌The SimIS robotic moving targets, called Human Type Targets (HTTs) are easy to use. Using 2 working robot systems, IPC has been able to successfully train over 400 personnel, and counting.
