MOVING TARGETS AT FALCON4

Moving semi-autonomous robotic live range targets are now available at Falcon4 on KASOTC.

Investors Jon Sysel from IPC, and Johnny Garcia of the autonomous/semi-autonomous robotics firm SimIS inc. joined forces to provide a set of moving robotic targets for Falcon4. SimIS produces rugged, easy to use systems that have been integrated into Falocn4’s innovative station-based training, allowing customers to rapidly build skills in simulation, then transition to the live range, then on to realistic moving targets.

The robots are called Human Type Targets (HTTs). These systems enable highly realistic live fire training.

Personnel report two main realizations:

1 . The HTTs move in a realistic way and have a psychological impact beyond just mechanical marksmanship.

2 . It is more difficult to hit moving targets and it requires a humble trainee.
